VISIT AND ENJOY THE FIRST EUROPEAN UNION ENTERTAIMENT SITE IN HEBREW
The EU Delegation in Israel has issued the first of three press supplements, entitled 'YOUROPE', that will be inserted into the three leading Israeli dailies (Yedioth Aharonoth, Ma'ariv and Ha'aretz).
The first supplement includes stories on: the Eurovision Song Contest; a joint venture between Israeli entrepreneur Shai Agasi and the Renault company to produce an electric car; an EU Partnership for Peace project bringing Israeli and Palestinian children together through football; cultural and sporting events in Europe and cultural projects supported by the Delegation in Israel; a major 7th Framework Programme project on archaeology in Israel as well as items on how Europe is leading the battle against climate change and a report on Europe Day activities. Each article includes a 'Did You Know?' box on related facts and figures.
The project is accompanied by a separate internet mini-site (in Hebrew only) which contains links to these stories as well as links to EU websites in Europe and in Israel and photo galleries. The mini-site is being promoted by banner advertisements on some of Israel's leading websites.
